Skin Care

Many essential oils are made from plants and trees that have natural chemicals in them that humans have been using for centuries as anti-aging agents. Other essential oils can help acne and reddish in hormonal teenage skin, smooth wrinkles, and tighten mature skin to get rid of crow’s feet.

There is a huge spectrum of skin conditions and ailments that humans can suffer from, from the mild and painless to the severe and painful or irritating. Common skin complaints include acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hives and seborrheic dermatitis. Some skin complaints have environmental triggers, some are fungal, some are caused by hormonal imbalances, some by diet and lifestyle related factors, such as stress. They can manifest as sores, spots, and redness, and leave skin dry and cracked. Many essential oils have skin care applications, and they are widely used in beauty products due to properties that are highly beneficial to the skin. Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial so is excellent for applying topically to skin complaints such as spots and blemishes, and rose is excellent for calming red and inflamed skin.

Many essential oils, like Frankincense, are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, cleaning your skin to stop acne and other marks that are caused from clogged pores. They also help with new cell growth for damage to your skin from daily wear and the sun. Others also add moisture to dry skin or vice versa to oily skin. Essential oils like Geranium can even make scarsbruises, cuts, scrapes and other marks fade from your skin.
