The Lemon essential oil has a pale yellowish-green (turns brown with age) liquid complexion with a fresh, light citrus scent.

The essential oil blends well with neroli, lavender, ylang ylang, sandalwood, rose, olibanum, chamomile, benzoin, geranium, fennel, eucalyptus, juniper, lavandin, oakmoss, elemi, labdanum and other citrus oils.

Lemon essential oil has a thin consistency.

The Lemon essential oil is native to Asia, most likely east India. The plant now grows wild in the Mediterranean region particularly Portugal and Spain.

Lemon is cultivated extensively worldwide in Cyprus, Sicily, Italy, Guinea, Israel, North and South America (Florida and California).

The Lemon peel and juice are widely employed as a domestic seasoning. The fruit rich in nutrition value contains high doses of vitamins A, B and C. The Lemon essential oil is extracted via Cold Compress from the peel of the fruit.

In this method the peel of the fruit is penetrated while rolling over a trough. The tiny pouches which contain the essential oil is pierced and the whole fruit is pressed to squeeze the juice & the essential oil from the pulp. The essential oil rises to the surface of the juice that is extracted from the fruit.

The essential oil is extracted from the juice via centrifugation process. Please note that the essential oil produced from this method have a short life span after which, the quality of the oil begins to deteriorate.
