Mandarin Green essential oil is cold pressed and its’ scent can be described as tangy and refreshing, yet slightly harsh. There are other Mandarin essential oil types, red and yellow. Mandarin Green oil is not as sweet as either of these, however its unique scent is quite interesting. This unique scent uplifts mood and calms anxiety, tension, and restlessness. It can also help your digestive system, calm an upset stomach, and lymphatic system. It also blends well with other citrus and spicy oils.

The Green Mandarin essential oil has an orange-yellowish liquid complexion with an intensely sweet, floral, citrus odor. The essential oil blends well with other citrus oils especially neroli and spice oils including clove, cinnamon, nutmeg.

The Green Mandarin colored fruit is clearly underdeveloped and possesses a different natural chemistry to its yellow and red fruit variant which will cultivated in later months. The Green Mandarin variant contains less natural sugars resulting in a far sharper aroma than the red variant.

The Mandarin Green essential oil is native to Southern China and the Far East. Mandarin is mainly cultivated in Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Algeria, Greece, the Middle East and Brazil. The Tangerine variant is produced in California, Florida, Texas and Guinea.

The name ‘Mandarin’ is derived from the fruit that was a traditional gift to the Mandarins of China. In France, the Mandarin fruit was recognized as a safe, natural remedy for ailments affecting children which included hiccoughs, indigestion and many more.

Mandarin was employed by the elderly to help strengthen the liver and digestive functions. The plant was bought to the Europe in 1805 and was later introduced to the USA around 1845, where it was renamed Tangerine

The Green Mandarin essential oil is extracted via Cold Compress from the peel of the fruit.

In this method the peel of the fruit is penetrated while rolling over a trough. The tiny pouches which contain the essential oil is pierced and the whole fruit is pressed to squeeze the juice & the essential oil from the pulp.

The essential oil rises to the surface of the juice that is extracted from the fruit. The essential oil is extracted from the juice via centrifugation process. Please note that the essential oil produced from this method have a short life span after which, the quality of the oil begins to deteriorate.
