Physical Pain

Physical pain is a broad spectrum term that incorporates the many different forms of physical pain that humans can experience, ranging from mild to severe, and comes in many different forms, from sharp pains, to dull aches. Pain is a symptom of many different conditions, and can occur anywhere on or in the body; some forms of chronic pain include back pain, headaches/migraines, muscular pain or cramps, joint and bone pain, and menstrual pain. There have long been natural forms of pain relief, in the form of natural anti-inflammatories, numbing agents, nerve-relieving and calming substances, some of which can be very effective. For instance, turmeric is particularly beneficial for pain arising from bruising, sprains and joint inflammation.

While some people run to the medicine cabinet to solve their pain problems, for some people, medication has stopped working or has never worked for their pain that they feel. Some people have just taken too much pain medication and their body has built up a resistance to its effects.

For other people, medication just simply does not work with their body – everyone is unique. Wintergreen is one of the most widely known of the essential oils to help with pain relief. It contains a natural chemical that is used in aspirin and the Native Americans even used it as a pain tonic. Researchers have even proved its effectiveness in treating all sorts of aches and pains that people get.
