Essential Oil Characteristics
The Clary Sage essential oil has a colorless or pale yellow-green liquid complexion with a nutty-herbaceous, sweet aroma.
The essential oil blends well with lavender, juniper, coriander, cardomon, sandalwood, geranium, pine, labdanum, cedarwood, frankincense, jasmine, labdanum, bergamont and other citrus oils.
Clary Sage essential oil has a thin to medium consistency.
The Clary Sage essential oil consist of linalyl acetate (up to 75%), pinene, linalool, myrcene and phellandrene among others. Constituents vary respective to the geographic origin – which they are several different chemotypes.
The Clary Sage essential oil has a green, woody, herbaceous and pleasant conifer scent which can be mildly intoxicating.
